How To Deal With Your Debt
Problem
If Only My Debt Problem Would Go
Away... It goes without saying that we are in the
midst of an economic hurricane. That’s the bad news. The good
news is; hurricanes, storms and bad weather don’t last forever.
Eventually, the sun will rise and when it does, our nation as a
whole will be a much better place. But in the mean time, while
the financial storm is raging, those living in its path must
deal with it. As it relates to the economy, the debt
problem has risen to epic proportions. We are seeing more
foreclosures and bankruptcies than ever before. Many of which
could have been avoided. But they weren’t because many debtors
didn’t know how to properly deal with their debt problem…
News Flash… You Will Overcome Your Debt
Problem! There are certain things in life where you
are going to be required to pull up your sleeves and get into a
wrestling match in order to make progress. A debt problem is
one such thing. Addressing credit card debt, personal loans,
mortgages, 2nd and 3rd mortgages, IRS bills, personal loans,
and etc., after they have piled up and become a burden, can be
distressing.
Debt collectors are constantly hounding you; you’re
concerned about
being sued, having your wages garnished or your bank
accounts frozen. All to often, a person’s debt problem
mushrooms way beyond their comprehension, and they just walk
away from it all.
Mounting debt has become a severe problem and unfortunately,
a majority of the men and women in the United States are
reeling under it.
Debt has literally overtaken the lives of families and left
them in a constant state of worrying and panic. Yes, the debt
problem is huge… however; there is nothing that we as Americans
have faced that we cannot overcome! Someone once said and I
quote, “Where there’s a will, THERE IS A WAY! You may be
thinking, “But, William, you don’t understand, my debt problem
is beyond help!” My answer to you is emphatic, “I’ve never seen
a debt problem that couldn’t be solved!”
Debt Problem Solving 101 - Attitude
Adjustment! Currently, your attitude concerning
your debt problem may very well be:
- I’m beyond help
- I give up!
- I might as well just walk away
- I can’t see any daylight at the end of the tunnel
- If there is one person that can’t be helped, IT’S
ME!
- It’s no use in fighting…
I’ve got some good news. Regardless of the amount of
credit card debt and loans you’ve accumulated, the truth
is; your ability to
get out of debt will be determined primarily by your
attitude. Make an attitude adjustment about you debt right now.
Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and walk out of your debt
doldrums! Your attitude, (that is your disposition, feeling and
position with regard to your debts) is the single most
important factor that will determine the outcome of your debt
problem.
Debt Problem? Can You Shout… Attitude
Check! I have a number of friends who own or once
owned car dealerships. If you know anything about the industry,
then you know that most owners are heavily leveraged. Meaning,
they have an extreme amount of debt. Some owners have their
personal finances tied to their dealerships. Consequently, if
the dealership crumbles, their personal finances goes down with
the ship. It’s a debt problem, you want to avoid at all costs.
In one such case, a bank that financed auto loans inexplicably
closed.
In one fail swoop, some car dealerships were forced to
shutdown. Some of the owners of dealerships that depended on
this bank for financing had mental breakdowns. A few of them
looked at their new debt problem and decided the only way out
was to commit suicide. But there were numerous owners who
pulled up their sleeves and said, “It may get real ugly and it
may take some time, but we’re winners and we’re going to beat
this!” Perform an attitude check; if you’ve taken on a
defeatist attitude concerning your debt, dispense with it right
now and declare, “I will beat this debt
problem!”
William Phillips brings a degree in
economics and an unwavering passion to help fellow Americans
come from under the clutches of debt. He believes that with the
right debt
advice or debt
counseling, anyone can recover from the stresses of being
overwhelmed with credit card bills and other debts.
